PARENT ACCESS TO STUDENT GRADES

1. Log into grades.provo.edu

2. input user name which is the student ID number (lunch Number)

3. Input password which is students birth date. Example 4/12/00.

Powerschool gives you access to attendance, grades and assignments.

Los padres pueden tener acceso a las calificaciones de los estudiantes haciendo lo siguiente:

1. Valla a la pagina www.grades.provo.edu
                                              2.ponga como "user name" el numero de identificacion del estudiante (o numero de lunch)
                                              3. Ponga la contrasena la cual es la fecha de nacimiento del estudiante. Ejemplo: 4/12/00
                                              Poweschool le da acceso a la asistencia, calificaciones y asignaciones de su estudiante.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP ?

• Reward children with praise and attention for success in school.
• Read and review assignments with children, including homework and notes.
• Organize a quiet study place with non-interrupted study time for the children.
• Have related out of school activities that compliment the school curriculum.
• Children to have enough rest and eat well.
• Talk to your children about their academic record and attendance. Ask for specifics about what was done each day.What did they learn? What did they enjoy doing? What do they know today that they did not know yesterday?

ALSO , from after fall Break i will be starting literature circles which are groups of readers levelled by ability who read a book and ask and answer questions about what they have read each week on a friday afternoon from 12.30-1.30pm. I need parent volunteers who will be able to read the book ahead of the students and sit in the literature circle with them to discuss the book.Please let me know if you are willing to help. andrewbr@provo.edu.

Despues de las vacaciones en el Otono, empezare grupos de literatura a niveles y abilidad. Leeran libros y habra preguntas y respuestas de lo que leyeron cada semana los Viernes de 12:30 a 1:30pm. Necesitare de padres voluntarios que puedan leer el libro antes que los estudiantes y que pueda estar presente en los grupos de literatura para discutir el libro.
