Thanks to all you parents for your donations, for treats, for volunteering in class, and for helping your child to learn the concepts needed before first grade.
Here's to a great year!
Welcome to our class!
Here is a fun link you may want to let your kindergartener play with. Hooray for learning games and easy readers!
Last week, we experimented with water to see how water changes "shape" when we pour it into different containers. We also watched what happens to water when we paint with it outside.
Also, we got to end our "D" week with a 1/2-hour "Dads and Donuts" time. We read with our dads (or other loving adult), and then shared donuts. What could be better!
This week we talked about the letter "E" and learned about shapes. We took a shapes walk outside and found many, many shapes around our school. We also made really fun pictures out of shapes.
Next week, we'll be making patterns and talking about the letter "F" and the number 5.
Don't forget we have a fall break coming up--October 14, 15, and 16 (a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday long weekend). Also, put on your calendar: Friday, October 23 will be "Grandparents and Goodies Day."
Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
