Bill Sprunger has had 10 years experience in 6th grade and has started many of the fun traditions here at Provost. He has a Masters in Math Education as well as an ESL endorsement. Students love his class because he gets to know them really well inside and outside the classroom by attending their extra-curricular activities like football games and dance recitals. Mr. Sprunger's students remember him well and often come back to visit, even when they become students in college. During their 6th grade year, many of his students will read more than during any other year of their lives! A large portion of his students also continue on to algebra in 7th grade and work hard through high school, finishing up with AP Calculus.
On a more fun note, Mr. Sprunger plays in a band that performs around the western United States. He is the self-proclaimed practical jokster of the building, stating that, "3rd grade has gone missing chairs a few times [due to him]." He keeps a disco ball suspending from his ceiling to show his "infatuation with staying alive," and treats his students to a 70's party during the school year.
